These words came to me while sitting in a tuktuk in the middle of nowhere in Guatemala, on the way to the magical Lake Atitlan. The day was a whirlwind of sensory and emotional overload, from witnessing the best sunrise of my life on the top of a volcano to our originally straightforward journey to the lake being hit with countless hurdles, forcing me to pivot repeatedly to end up in the situation of being crammed in a tuktuk with 3 other solo travellers, plus the driver, driving on a bumpy road through a small village with the locals staring at us wondering what the hell was going on.

It was the perfect encapsulation of my life - a ridiculous rollercoaster full of ups and downs and twists and turns, but it’s for those ups and downs that I love it so much.
